Elmer Jay Goodman was born on 8 December 1940. He is the son of Stephen Goodman and Irene Kerrick. He passed away on 20 February 2017.

PHELPS - Elmer Jay Goodman passed away peacefully on Monday (February 20, 2017) surrounded by his loving family.

There will be no prior calling hours and per Elmer's last wish, there will be no funeral service, he wanted everyone to just celebrate life and spend time with their loved ones. Elmer was born on December 8, 1940, to the late Stephen and Irene Goodman of Phelps N.Y. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard and fondly remembered his time serving at a lighthouse on the Chesapeake Bay. Elmer was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who adored his dog Ella and lived for the Baltimore Orioles and Syracuse Orangemen.

Elmer is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Celia (Toodie) Goodman; children Jennifer (Jason) Galbraith, Jerry Morrison, Donna Morrison, Sandy (Steve Paremske) Geller, Roger (Sara) Morrison, Linda (Steve) Sanders, and Carlton (Tanya) Warner. He is also survived by his loving sister, Hazel Bragg; as well as many nieces and nephews. Elmer enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Ciera, Alex, Christopher, Aaron, Ryan, Stephen, Kyle, and Thomas.

Elmer was pre-deceased by his brothers James Goodman and Roland Goodman; and sisters Jane Campbell and Eugenia Goodman.
