Biography

Overton was born in 1810. He is the son of John Goodwin and Jane Peatross. He married Elizabeth Hotchkiss on 09 Jun 1835 in Roane County, Tennessee. They have 11 children: Virginia E., William B., Hezekiah Hotchkiss, Overton Petrie Jr., Arkansas J., Henry C., Martha H., John Wilkerson, Emily F., Judson Peter, and Sarah E. He passed away in 1889. Burial in Rehobeth Cemetery, Moorefield, Independence County, Arkansas
