Robert Goodwing was mentioned Torrey's "New England Marriages Prior to 1700." It reads as follows: GOODWING, Robert & Margaret (FLINT) NORMAN (-1705, dau Wm; 15 Oct 1685; Marblehead.[1] Torrey's only source listed was Tingley-Meyers 113,258.
This marriage record also found in Massachusetts Vital Records before 1850. This town Marblehead record reads as follows: NORMAN, Margaret, and Robert Goodwing, Oct. 15, 1685. [2] alternatively listed under "G" for Goodwing.[3]
Margaret's prior marriage to Richard Norman is also found in Torrey as follows:

John Goodwin's wife's first husband Richard Norman's probate was still being probated long after he was deceased. Her son John Norman sued him so he could try get his father's house back. However, he (the son) died before complicating the matters.[5]
Note that Marblehead was carved from Salem on 6 May 1635.[6]
