So, Elizabeth (Gordon) Home and daughter Elizabeth (Home) Howard died on or about the same day. Is there any information on this? Are we sure this is not a mix-up, since their given names are the same?

Harold, all the information that I can find on the daughter states it to be the same year. From Darryl Lundy's Peerage page on Elizabeth Home:

Gordon-7709 and Gordon-887 appear to represent the same person because: Same gien name "Elizabeth", Catherine appears to come from an unsourced Wikipedia article, same LNAB, same parents, dates are approx and estimated, same spouse and child.

Is there another source for the given name "Catherine" ? The "Peerage" source given is for Elizabeth Gordon. The Wilipedia article does call her Catherine but appears to be unsourced itself. This profile seems to be a duplicate of Gordon-7709

Gordon-7625 and Gordon-887 appear to represent the same person because: same husband, same name, intended to be same person, no sources for dates
