He was accidentally shot by his own gun, while getting over a fence.
He passed away in 1779.
His inventory was completed on 3 February 1780 in Norwalk and recorded at Fairfield.[1]
In 1797, his estate distribution was set out to the widow, now Mary Taylor, wife of Asher Taylor, Samuel Gorham (eldest son), Abigail Gorham, Mary Gorham, and Joseph Barlow Gorham.[2]
