Mesha Brüggergosman-Lee is a Canadian singer who performs classical, jazz, and popular music. She won three Grammy Awards in 2005 including Best Classical Album for Songs of Innocence and Experience.
In 2008, Brüggergosman-Lee and her family tree were the subject of the eleventh episode of Who Do You Think You Are? - Canada.[1] [2] The episode presented her with a genealogy branch that included black loyalists who crossed British lines during the American Revolutionary War to gain their freedom from slavery, and in 1783, were resettled in Nova Scotia.
Brüggergosman-Lee performed Olympic Hymn at the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
In 2012, Brüggergosman-Lee was a judge on the reality show Canada's Got Talent.
In 2021, she produced the symphonic short film Forgotten Coast about Black Canadian history in Nova Scotia.
Born Mesha Gosman in 1977, she is the daughter of Sterling Gosman. Married twice, two children.
