Biography

Dollie Jane (Greenlee) Sprinkle was born about 1831 in Tennessee, daughter of Alexander Greenlee (~1785 - ~1860) and Lidia (Smith) Greenlee (~1792 - ~1860).

Dollie Jane (~19) married Napoleon Bonaparte Sprinkle (~40) (1810 - ~1879) in 1850.

Their children were:

  1. Amanda Sprinkle (1852 - 1917)
  2. George Washington Sprinkle (1854 - 1930)
  3. Lydia Ann (Sprinkle) Shetterly (~1855 - 1914)
  4. Frank Sprinkle (1856 - <1910)
  5. D. Thomas Sprinkle (1861 - 1945)
  6. Louisa Sprinkle (~1862 - )
  7. Sallie N (Sprinkle) Ingle (1864 - 1938)
  8. Orlena Sprinkle (1865 - 1918).

In the 1850 census Dolly (age 19) was in Claiborne, Tennessee, United States.[1] Alexander Greenlee 65, Lydia Greenlee 56, James Burkhart 25, Lydia Burkhart 24, Martha L Burkhart 13, Dolly J Greenlee 19.

In the 1880 census Dolla (age 40) was the widowed mother-in-law of William Shears in Magisterial District 7, Clark, Kentucky, United States.[2] William Shears 25, wife Lydia K. Shears 25, daughter Paulina J. Shears 5, son George W. Shears 3, son John T. Shears 0, mother-in-law Dolla Sprinkles 40, sister-in-law Orlena Sprinkles 14, sister-in-law Sallie N. Sprinkles 13, brother-in-law Doeter F. Sprinkles 10.

Dollie Jane died on 17 Nov 1917 in Stanford, Lincoln, Kentucky, United States aged ~86.[3]
