Biography

Clarence was born in 1894 in Chatham County, North Carolina. He was the son of James Hackney and Martha Sugg. He never married and spent his entire life working on the family farm.

He passed away in 1967 in Pittsboro, North Carolina and was buried in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Moncure, North Carolina.
