Biography

Alice was born in 1871. She was the daughter of John Hall and Mary Bailey. [1]

In 1888, she married Alexander Books in Paddington. [2]

She passed away in 1951. [3]

"BOOKS, Alice.—October 29, 1951, at her residence, 41 George Street, Windsor, relict of the late Alexander Books, late of Sackville and Prospect, and dear mother of Mary and Kathleen (Mrs. J. Leet), aged 80 years." [4]

From the death notice, Alice seems to have died on 29 October 1951, rather than 21 October 1951
