Biography
Norwood was born about 1876 in Massachusetts.
He was the child of Sallie Wharton Haydock and Civil War veteran Norwood Penrose Hallowell, and the nephew of Edward "Ned" Needles Hallowell of the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.
A Banker for Lee, Higginson & Co. of 70 Federal St., Boston, for many years, he became an investment banker on Wall St. after WWI.
living with wife Margaret and daughter Margaret along with 2 servants in a $300/month apartment in New York City and he gave his income for 1939 as $50,000
