AUCKLAND STAR, VOLUME LV, ISSUE 283, 28 NOVEMBER 1924 - The marriage of Miss Mabel Hamon, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Hamon, of Stanley Bay, Auckland, to Mr. Theodore Martin Macadam, elder son of the late Mr. James Martin Macadam and Mrs. Elizabeth Macadam, was celebrated at St. Stephen's Church, Sydney, N.S.W., on October 15. In the absence of her father, the bride was given away by Dr. A. W. Weihen. She wore a travelling dress of powder blue georgette, hand-embroidered, a black crinoline hat, with a black bird of paradise, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and lilies of the valley, tied with pale blue tulle. Mr. E. F. Dingwall of Batavia, Java, was best man. The reception was held at "Newhaven," Double Bay. the home of Mrs. Hirschell, the bridegroom's sister, and the honeymoon was spent at "Bryntysilio," the mountain home of Dr. A. W. Weihen.
