Biography
James was born in Leslie, Fife, Scotland 19 Sep 1723 to parents George Hardie and Margaret Punler. He was baptized 22 Sep 1723. He married Agnes Greig and they had chikldren Bessy Hardie, 12 Dec 1751, Robert Hardie, 17 Aug 1753, and Margaret Hardie, 29 Oct 1755. They may have had another child James Hardie about 1758.
