Biography

Jane was born in 1830. She is the daughter of John Hardman and Ellen Lee. She was christened on 28 Feb 1830 in West Kirby, Cheshire, England.[1]

Will

”This is the last Will and Testament of me Jane Sutton of number 5 Hose Side Wallasey in the County of Chester Widow I appoint my daughter Maria the wife of William Webster of Leasowe Road Wallasey aforesaid Market gardener and my daughter Ellen the wife of Edward Atherton of number 5 Hose Side aforesaid Stevedore (hereinafter called my trustees) to be the trustees and executors of this my Will I give to my said daughter Ellen my gold watch chain and my gold keeper ring I give to my granddaughter Elizabeth Jane Webster my gold watch I give to my daughter Maria my mourning brooch set in pearls and my gold wedding ring And I give devise and bequeath all my property not hereby or by any Codicil hereto otherwise disposed of unto my trustees In trust to convert the same into money by sale or otherwise and to divide the proceeds (after paying my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts) among all my grandchildren living at the time of my death who being grandsons attain the age of twenty one years or being granddaughters attain that age or marry under that age with their parents consent in equal shares with power for my trustees to invest the expectant shares of infant grandchildren and to raise any part not exceeding one moiety of any such share and apply the same for the advancement or benefit of the infant presumptively entitled thereto And I also empower my trustees to postpone the sale and conversion of any part of my estate for so long as they shall think fit and the income of unconverted property shall from the time of my death go in the same manner as the income or the proceeds thereto would have been applicable if the same had been converted In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and mark this first day of May one thousand nine hundred The mark X Jane Sutton

Jane died on the 23 January, 1903 in Bidston, Cheshire aged 75 years and was buried on the 25th January, 1903 in St. Oswad Parish Church, Bidston, Cheshire.
