Came over as Mormons form East Midlands, England - in 1847 William and Joseph Harker both brought their families - William died on route and Joseph ended up making it all the way to Utah, with our Gr gr gr Grandfather William's nephew, and namesake, Willliam Harker (son of Joseph) was the first white male born in the Utah territory- one of the daughters, Mary, ended up in Utah married to Emery Meacham, but she died (perhaps in childbirth) about 1862 -the other daughters (including our Elizabeth Harker, Hattie's mother) married out of the Mormon faith
