Alice Harlan was a daughter of Mary Carter (1740-1824) and Stephen Harlan Sr. (1740-1830) of West Marlborough Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania [1]. Her birth date is not certain; whereas this profile was constructed with her birth date as 22 Jul 1764, that date presents potential gestational conflict with a putative sibling, Elizabeth Harlan, who is profiled currently with birth date 5 May 1764. Investigation is encouraged to verify the birth dates of both siblings, then the appropriate edits should be applied to either or both profiles.
Per her grave memorial Find A Grave: Memorial #13528618, she migrated when about three years of age, with her parents to Cumberland County, North Carolina, and later with them to Randolph County where she was married 25 Apr 1786 to Moses Robbins (1765-1850). Some or all of the following may have been their children, and there may have been others:
Moses and Alice Robbins and their family immigrated in 1816, to Wayne County, Indiana, and settled on lands near the present town of Centerville.
Alice (Harlan) Robbins died in Wayne County on June 17, 1835, and Moses died on March 28. 1850. They were both buried in the Robbins' Burying Grounds, now known as Locust Grove Cemetery, near Abington, Indiana in Wayne County.
