Biography

Alfred was born about 1824 in Erie county, New York. He was the son of Barney Harrington and Roxalana Perkins.

Alfred married first Esther Hugoboom.

They were living in Perrysburg, Cattaraugus, New York in 1850.[1]

Esther passed away in 1864 in Wisconsin. They did not have any children.

He married Maria Lawrence on 08 Sep 1864 in Madison, Dane, Wisconsin.[2] They had two children - Alfred Harrington and Esther "Etta" Maria Harrington.

The family moved to Fort Dodge, Webster, Iowa where they were located in 1870 and 1880.[3][4]

In 1900, Alfred and Maria were living in son Alfred Harrington jr's household in Cherokee, Cherokee, Iowa.[5] Alfred was widowed and living with his son in 1910 in the same community.[6]

He passed away in 1914 and was buried in Oak Hill cemetery in Cherokee, Cherokee, Iowa.[7]
