Biography
John Joseph Harris was born on 12 March 1877 in Kadina, South Australia, Australia, son of Joseph Harris (~1830 - >1883) [1] and Elizabeth (Thomas) Easterbrook (1837 - ).
He married Georgina Bradshaw in Boulder in 1898[2]. (Note that this is supported by a nearby burial in the Wesleyan section of Karrakatta cemetery and that Joseph E. J Harris was the grantee[3]).
Their son was Mr Joseph Edward James Harris (1899 - 1941).
It was reported that in October 1898, Mrs J. H. Harris attended "The Cinderella Social" at the Mechanics Institute in Boulder City, wearing a black silk skirt, white lace blouse, black lace, and diamonds[4].
John died on 29 Jul 1926 in Maylands, Western Australia aged 49[5]. He was buried in the Wesleyan section of Karrakatta Cemetery[6].
