Dear MaryDon,

Regarding a possible connection through the Tilton family: We have to dig a little to answer that question.

We'd have to connect thru a descendant of Joseph Tilton (17 Feb 1771 - 19 Nov 1831) Sandown, Rockingham County, New Hampshire Province, (Colonial America).

Joseph's son Austin, who was born in 1815 in Belpre, Washington County Ohio, is the one who relocated to Adams County, Illinois about 1845 with his wife and the first five of 13 children..

Dear MaryDon,

I don't think there is a connection between your Bavarian/Wisconsin Schwartz and my Schwartz line that settled in Adams County Illinois.

Here is a except from the book I working on:

" Heinrich Schwarz/Schwartz, the progenitor of the Schwartz Family of Adams County, Illinois, was born in 1834 in the village of Heddesheim in the Rheinland Province of the Kingdom of Prussia (at the time a member of the Confederation of German States) to Balthasar Schwarz and Anna Maria Fleck. Today Heddesheim is one of the three districts that comprise the municipality of Guldental in the Rhineland-Palatinate state of the Federal Republic of Germany. Heinrich was the sixth child having four older brothers and two sisters, one older and one younger."

Your email blocked my reply concerning Richard Benton Beeson, I did find an Iowa birth certificate for:

James Blain Beeson Birth Date: 10 Jul 1884 Birth Place: Pattersonville, Sioux, Iowa Father: Richard B Beeson Mother: Ella J Dwinell FHL Film Number: 1404846 Original data: "Iowa Births and Christenings, 1830–1950." Index. FamilySearch, Salt Lake City, Utah, 2009, 2010. Index entries derived from digital copies of original and compiled records. Was this a twin or did they change his name? I have you made a Manager of my Richard Benton Beeson and have no issue with you making your corrections and additions and merging the two profiles.

Hello MaryDon:

Grafenried exists as an uninhabited lacality under the name Lu?ina, part of the town Nemanice. Digitized copies of church books can be found at http://www.portafontium.eu/ A website with German names of towns in the Czech Republic would be https://www.tschechien-online.org/basisinfo/deutsche-ortsnamen-tschechien-a-bis-z also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_historical_German_and_Czech_names_for_places_in_the_Czech_Republic

Hi Mary,

It looks like your email address is not accepting emails from us. Would you check into it? A great move to make is to add [email address removed] to your address book.

Dear MaryDon,

I came across the Harwoods while I was doing my WikiTree volunteer work. I search for sources for profiles that are missing them. Often, when I find a source, I also find new family members for the original profile.

My coming weekend is in New York City. Hope you have a good one. Keeping adding to our WikiTree world family! Nanette

Sorry. I have no information on a David Harwood or a Mary Walcott connected to a Farrar. Good luck with your search. Susan Harwood.

Sorry for spamming your profile with comments! I forgot about Adeline Maria Harwood (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Harwood-1094). I believe her father's name was Hiram Harwood, and that she had a brother named Hiram Harwood. The only proof I have of this is a scribble on some old family history notes I found at my cottage.

She was from Bennington, Vermont as well.

I'm currently delving into some research on the Harwoods so that I can fill them out better with some actual sources, and hopefully I can help you some more!

As an addendum to my previous comment, I found some information on the Harwood family in Vermont and upstate New York in "The Frost Family in England and America" by Thomas Gold Frost and Edward Lysander Frost.

You can find that book online (for free!) at archive.org/details/frostfamilyineng00fros

The most relevant pages are 155 and 156. I hope this helps!

Hi MaryDon!

I don't believe anyone in the Harwood line has done DNA. Unfortunately, all of the Harwood connections that I've come across have been been women that married into the family.

Caroline Harwood (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Harwood-105) married Ebenezer Frost (my third great grandfather) and the two of them immigrated to Canada with their children. I know that her parents were Jonas Harwood and Phoebe Dodge. Your message has actually helped me notice that I haven't added her parents yet, thank you! I'll do that shortly.

There's also an Emily Palmer Harwood in my family, who I believe is the grandaughter of Jonas and Pheobe.

I unfortunately haven't come across a Samuel in my research. I'll keep my eyes peeled though. I'm sorry I haven't been a ton of help.

Liz
