Biography

John left Illinois before 1850 and is counted there with his brother William on the 1850 U.S. Census. By 1860 he had moved to Oregon, married to Rachel and had 4 kids. Rachel dies in 1860. Before 1864 he married Susannah. In 1870 they have 6 kids. They had another in 1872. Susannah died in 1874. In 1880 John was again a widower . He lives in Yamhill with 6 children. In 1881 he married Mary Ann.
