I am very pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
It is best to start with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
sorry to say but finding this site so difficult to use. My question I have at this point is how to I add in my haplo group information? Or do I down of up load this DNA?
WikiTree is known for having a bit of a learning curve, but the good thing is that we give you all the tools to try and help you along the way. We have help pages which can be found by hovering your mouse over the menu bar at the very top right over the word "help", when the drop down list appears click on "help" - this will take you to a list of help pages in alphabetical order. We also have an active and friendly G2G chat form - don't be shy to make use of this resource, the people are super friendly and love to help. We also have volunteer Greeters and Mentors we're here to help and I'm glad that you reached out to me! To find mentors hover on the word "help" in the menu, then click "mentors" - this will load a page of mentors and a little write up about them and what subjects they focus on. Sadly DNA is not one of mine, I haven't yet done my DNA so unfortunately I'm not sure how it all works.
Searching G2G for "haplo group" I found some interesting posts, perhaps some of these might help:
Below each of these you will find more posts that seem to be similar - it might be a good idea to look around a bit and see if any others might help with your particular question.
You will also notice that many of these posts have little green boxes below them, these are tags - they are clickable and by adding tags to your G2G posts other members who are following those tags will be alerted to your question.
