Biography

Homer Denny Haston was born on 15 Nov 1899 in White County, Tennessee; [1] [2] he was the son of William Haston and Lola Wallace.[1][3]

In 1900,[3] Homer Haston (age 6/12, born Tennessee) was living in White County, Tennessee in the household of his father, Clinton Haston (age 29, born Jan 1871 in Tennessee), with his mother, Lola Haston (age 29, born Jul 1870 in Tennesee), with his sister, Pearl Haston (age 8, born Tennessee); also in the household was Homer's maternal uncle, Walter Wallace (age 26, born Tennesse). Clinton and Walter's occupations were farmers. Lola had born 3 children, 2 of whom were currently living.

In 1910,[4] Homer D. Haston (age 10, born Tennessee) was living in White County, Tennessee in the household of his father, Clint Haston (age 39, born Tennessee), with his mother, Lola B. Haston (age 39, born Tennessee), with his Haston siblings, born Tennessee (age, sex): i) Pearl H. (18, F), iii) Willie P. (3, M). Clint's occupation was a farmer.

On 1 Sep 1918 in White County Tennessee,[5] [6] Homer Haston married Sallie White.

On 12 Sep 1918 in White County, Tennessee,[2] Homer Denny Haston (age 18) registered for the World War I Draft. Homer was born on 15 Nov 1899. He was currently residing at RFD #3, Sparta, White County, Tennessee, where he was employed as a farmer. His nearest relative was Sallie Haston, who resided at the same address.

On 13 Aug 1919 in White County, Tennessee,[7] Sallie White, wife of Homer Haston, gave birth to a son, Carl White Haston. Carl died about 2 months later on 22 Oct 1919 at his home in Sparta, White County, Tennessee. The cause of death was due to gastroenteritis.

In 1920,[8] Homer Haston (age 20, born Tennessee) was living in White County ,Tennessee as head of household with his wife, Sallie Haston (age 21, born Tennessee). Homer's occupation was a farm laborer on the home farm.

In 1930,[9] Homer Haston (age 30, born Tennessee) was living at 2417 Pearl Street, Anderson City, Anderson Township, Madison County, Indiana as head of household with his wife, Sallie A. Haston (age 31, born Tennessee). Homer's occupation was a punch press operator at an automotive electrical factory.

On 18 Mar 1938 in Newport, Kentucky,[10] Homer Haston (age 39) married Mabel (Spillman) Powers (age 41). The was the 2nd marriage for each.

In 1940,[11] Homer Haston (age 40, born Tennessee) was living in Adams Township, Madison County, Indiana as head of household with his wife, Mabel Haston (age 42, born Indiana). Homer and Mabel's occupations, respectively were: a) machine operator, & b) press operator, both in an automotive electrical factory.

On 16 Feb 1942 in Pendleton, Madison County, Indiana,[12] Homer Denny Haston (age 42) registered for the World War II Draft. Homer was born on 15 Nov 1899 in Kentucky [sic]. He was currently residing at R.R. #3, Pendleton, Madison County, Indiana. He was employed by the Delco-Remy Corporation in Anderson, Indiana. His contact person was Mabel Haston, who lived at the same address.

On 30 Jun 1942 in Pendleton, Madison County, Indiana,[13] Homer Haston's son, Ray Donald Haston, registered for the World War II Draft. Ray was born on 11 Jun 1923 in Sparta, White County, Tennessee.

On 26 Dec 1947 in Delaware County, Indiana,[14] Homer Haston's son, William T. Haston, married Martha J. Wilson. William was born on 5 Jun 1927 in Sparta, White County, Tennessee.

In 1950,[15] Homer Haston (age 50, born Tennessee) was living in Fall Creek Township, Madison County, Indiana as head of household with his wife, Mable Haston (age 52, born Indiana). Homer worked in an auto factory.

Homer Denny Haston died on 18 Jun 1962 in the St. John Hospital, Anderson, Madison County, Indiana, [16] and he was buried in the Anderson Memorial Park, Anderson, Madison County, Indiana, USA. [17] The cause of death was a coronary occlusion, with contributing factor of hypertensive cardiovascular disease. Homer was born on 15 Nov 1899 in Sparta, White County, Tennessee; his parents were Clint Haston and Lola Wallace. Homer's usual occupation had been at the Delco Remy Plant. His usual address had been RFD #3, Pendelton, Madison County, Indiana. Homer was married at the time of his death to Mrs. Mabel Haston, who was the informant for the death certificate and who lived at the same address.
