Biography

John Hawk, son of Benjamin Hawke and Mary Lount, was born September 24, 1811, in Pennsylvania.

His wife was Martha Dean. They had eleven children:

John was a founder of the community of Hawkesville and the first reeve of Wellesley Township, Canada West (Ontario).[1]

He died July 6, 1882, and was buried in Harley Cemetery in Harley, Ontario. [2][3]
