Biography

The only memory that I have of him is that when I was about 19 he would call the house, I would answer the phone and it went something like this:

Me: Hello Jim: Hey Dale how are you! Me: It's not Dale, it's Mike. Jim: Can I speak to your mother?

Unfortunately that's my only memory of him.

"Dad went down with his classmates to join up when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. He was rejected because of his astigmatism and flat feet. He was drafted into the Korean War...................... He actually went in and took basic training, I think he was only gone for about six months. I remember it." Aunt Shari

Drafted into the Army during the Korean War. Went through Basic Training but was discharged afterwards.
