Thomas was born sometime in the second quarter of 1838, the apparent twin of Elizabeth Henshaw. Their births were registered in the Salford registration district of Lancashire, England.[1]
Thomas was the son of James Henshaw and Ann Baron and he was enumerated in their household in the 1841 (3-year old child),[2] 1851 (12-year old scholar),[3] and 1861 (22-year old cotton dyer)[4] censuses.
