Biography
Elizabeth was born on 7 June 1838, one day after her apparent twin, Thomas. They were the children of James Henshaw and Ann Baron. Both children were baptized on 9 September 1838 at the Bethesda Methodist New Connexion church on Broad Street in Manchester, Lancashire, England.[1]
Elizabeth was enumerated in her parents' household in 1841 (3-year old child),[2] 1851 (12-year old scholar),[3] and 1861 (22-year old "cotton twist winder").[4]
