Biography
When Frederick Hess was born in 1775, in Forks Township, Northampton, Pennsylvania, United States, his father, Johann William Hess Sr, was 31 and his mother, Anna Catharina Godhard, was 36. He married Mary Yorks about 1800, in Northumberland, Pennsylvania. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Fishing Creek Township, Northumberland, Pennsylvania for about 10 years. He died on 28 July 1829, in Sugarloaf Township, Columbia, Pennsylvania at the age of 54.
