Army Story

Jan Gert (Nan) was actively taking part in the South African War. He and minister John Vorster [1] had to cut the telegram lines so that the enemies couldn't send or intercept their messages. His son, Coenraad Johannes Wilhelm Heymans is not sure in what war his father fought exactly. He remembers that his father liked to talk about his war stories at dinner time, when all the children were present. ^[5]
