Biography

Ellen was the daughter of Christopher Hilliard of Knockanush and probably Henrietta Carrique.^[1] Fuller says that her mother was Harriet Hilliard of Listrim.^[2]

She married Christopher Hilliard around 1780,^[3] and had:^[4]

1. William, baptised 1781
2. Robert
3. Morgan
4. Christopher, baptised 1786
5. Harriott, baptised 1784, who married James Royse Yeilding in 1807
6. Barbara, who married Francis Twiss in 1820^[5].

In 1779 after her father's death she received a share the lands of West Knockanush.^[3]

In a deed from 1799 her age is given as 42.^[6]

Christopher died in 1806, Ellen in 1811 at Nelson Street in Tralee.^[7]
