I was adopted at 4 years of age. Years later, I found both of my birth parents. I met my mother but my father had passed away. Going back to the Hiendlmayr side in Germany, it seems that they were all farmers in the Mitterast/Straubing area for generations. The other German relatives were from Hessen. My Italian side came from Sicily, Trapani, and Palermo. My German grandparents, my Sicilian grandparents, and my father came over around the turn of the century.
