Thanks for signing the Honor Code, Sue, I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.
You might be interested in some of the tips and tricks that we have included in the How-Tos that we share with new members these days. They were created long after you became a member so you never received them.
If you have questions about how WikiTree works, let me know and I will find answers. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.
Sue, I was looking at your tag, and I'd like to suggest that you change it so that you have one tag for each surname and location (la to Louisiana). By doing that, you can then click on those tags, and you'll be taken to a page where you'll see other genealogists who are also following those surnames and locations.
I really encourage you to explore the connections it helps you make. :-)
You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering. Make sure to add more TAGS to follow as you grow the family tree.
Wow!!! You're the 1,801st Hines profile on Wikitree! I bet your 'cousins' on Wikitree will benefit greatly once you add your insightful collaboration and sourced research.
Hi, I just wanted to share that the help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
Also are you willing to add sources to each of your new profiles you add .Even if you're just a casual family historian recording family history, you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from.
*If so, please post a message, here on your profile page, to that effect and I will be happy to confirm and welcome you to our Wikitree family.
Also There is a great Genealogy 101 references list here: getting started

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
