Death of Mrs. Martha Masters

On last Wednesday evening at 4 o'clock the grim reaper visited Llano county and took away another one of its oldest citizens. Mrs. Martha Masters, who had been sick for several months at the home of her son, T. C. Masters, gave up this earthly life for the life eternal at the time above stated. Deceased had been in bad health for a long period, during which time her children and many sympathizing friends administered to her every want, and medical assistance gave her every relief possible, but now she has found a better resting place and comfort will remain with her forever. She was 62 years old and had resided in this county for the past 30 years, during which time she became well acquainted with the citizenship of the county, among which she had many warm friends who were grieved to hear of her death. She leaves 8 children, 4 boys and 4 daughters, all of whom were at her bedside when the final summons came. The remains were carried to the Thompson cemetery Thursday evening at 3 o'clock, where they were laid to rest, surrounded by a host of loving relatives and friends. The News joins with the many friends in extending condolence to the bereaved ones, and may the thought that their dear one is resting in the palace eternal give them comfort at this time.
