Biography

Mary Jane Holliday was born in 1842 in Tennessee, United States, daughter of Martin Holliday (~1816–<1850) and Nancy Etheridge (1819–1896).

Mary married James Gardner High (born on December 19, 1842 in Henry, Tennessee; son of William High and Barbara Todd). [1]

In the 1860 census M (age 16) was at 1st District, Henry, Tennessee, United States.[2] N Holiday 46, H A Holiday 21, William Holiday 18, M J Holiday 16, Martha Holiday 14, M A Ethridge 34, Elizabeth Ethridge 13, Willie Ethridge 11, Luella Ethridge 9, H A Ethridge 8, M B Ethridge 3, J L Ethridge 5, John Perry 14.


Mary died in 1869 in Tennessee, aged 26. She was buried in Dillahunty Cemetery, Henry County, Tennessee.[3]
