Research Questions

  • The 1900 Census mentions his emigration in 1891. Can this be backed up with a primary source? How did he emigrate to the US?
  • The 1900 census states that the mother had three children; two of which were still living. What do we know about the children of Carrie Laker?
  • The birth registration journal, dated 10 October 1942, mentions that his wife Carolina (Laker) Hollenkamp (1875-1932) has had six children, three of which were still living.[5] Is this conflicting evidence to the 1910 and 1920 censuses? Found infant graves at St. Mary's Cemetery in St. Bernard, Hamilton County, Ohio for Adolph 1897-1898 Sec 11, Lot 184, Grave 1 and Alvina 30 Jan 1903-28 May 1903 Sec 11, Lot 184, Grave 2. Carolina is buried in Sec 11, Lot 184, Grave 4.
