DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

I will answer my own question. The "Source" provided regards the "Ancestors of Robert Carl Cook". This "Source" indicates that John H. Hoover and wife Martha are the parents of the Ines, Daniel, Fanny and Samuel. I believe this may be correct. Also, Martha may be "Martha Stoutmeyer", however I have not yet found confirmation of this.

John H. Hoover may actually have been the father of Ines, Daniel, Fanny and Samuel. Does anyone have any information about the relationship?
