Biography
Daniel (c1789 NC- ) is recorded as a soldier in the War of 1812 with the 2nd Regiment of IN Inf. Volunteers along with his brother, Abel.
He is said to have married Polly SILVER on 20 Apr 1809 in Randolph Co., NC but his suggested son born 1833 and of the same name, shows on his death record as son of Daniel Hogh and Elizabeth Sullivan. If she is the mother, then she would be a first wife with Polly as second wife.
Tradition indicates there were sons Jesse, Thomas and William who went to IA, possibly others and possibly a second wife. If there was a second wife, it would be Elizabeth SULLIVAN
This family of Daniel has not been completely confirmed yet but is being researched by one William W. Hough interested in this line. [1]
