Biography

Irena Howard, daughter of Thomas and Martha (Whitford) Howard, was born circa 1812 at New York, USA.^[1][2]

She married Stephen Huntley, son of Stephen Huntley and Abigail (--?--), circa 1831.^[1] She and Stephen Huntley were divorced circa 1845.^[2]

She appeared on the census of 23 July 1850 at Newark, Rock Co., Wisconsin.^[3] She appeared on the census of 1860 at Centre, Lafayette Co., Wisconsin. She appeared on the census of 26 July 1860 in the household of her brother-in-law, Ezra Huntley, and her sister, Philena (Howard) Huntley, at Centre, Lafayette Co., Wisconsin.^[4] She appeared on the census of 30 July 1870 in the household of her nephew, Stephen Huntley, at Darlington, Lafayette Co., Wisconsin.^[5] She appeared on the census of 1885 at Charles City, Floyd Co., Iowa, in the with Martin Shipper household.^[6]

Irena died in June 1885 probably in Charles City, Floyd County, Iowa, and was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Floyd County, Iowa. Her memorial has the date of hr burial and a photo of her headstone.^[7]
