DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with George by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with George:
Would it be simpler (1) to change the wife and the birth and death information on this profile (and also disconnect Acquilla), or (2) to just disconnect the parents and do the merge?
Huff-2298 and Huff-840 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth and death years; same wife; same son Aquilla. But I doubt Philip Huff was his father.
Philip Huff did have a son George Huff, but that George died in 1839 in Muskingum County, and his wife was Elizabeth Wine. Here's his findagrave profile: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=77688322
