Biography

Mary, daughter of Daniel Humm and Mary Hook was born on 12 June 1803 at Norfolk Island, and was baptised at St Phillip's in Sydney on 28 August 1803.^[1], ^[2]

Mary Elizabeth Humm and John Walker were married at St Johns in Parramatta on 31 July 1821.^[3] Witnesses to the marriage were D Humm, Jane Matilda X Thorn. Mary signed with her mark, and John signed.

Mary and John were recorded in the 1828 Census in Parramatta. John's occupation was listed as Wheelwright. ^[4], ^[5]

Mary passed away at her home in Campbell Street in Parramatta on 9 October 1884, and was buried on 10 October 1884 in the Wesleyan Cemetary in Buller Street, North Parramatta. Cause of death was Senile Decay. ^[6],^[7]
