Biography

Benjamin Hyland was born on March 19, 1804 in . His parents were Amasa Hyland and Prudence Whitcomb.

He married first Abigail Damon 7 Oct 1827.[1] They divorced 7 Nov 1853; Washington County record #0540[1] Children:

  1. Benjamin F. Hyland (1829 - 1907)
  2. Burnham Smith Hyland (1833 - 1918)
  3. Amos Damon Hyland (1837 - 1905)
  4. Mary Ann Hyland Dinges (1840 - 1917)
  5. Edward T. Hyland (1843 - 1885)
  6. Ansel (1845-1845)
  7. Sylvia Marie Abigail Hyland Swan (1848 - 1935)
  8. Abigail Hyland (1850 - 1850)

He married second Martha Unknown about 1855, and divorced 1859, Lane County Record #0159[1]

He married third Agness (Martine) Tallentire in 1863. She died 1876, the marriage ended in 1766,

He married fourth Louisa Taylor 1867.[1] Children:

He died on July 20, 1890 in Lowell Lane County Oregon. He is buried at Hyland Cemetery in Lowell, Lane, Oregon.[2]
