Biography
Her parents were Margaretha (Mohr) and Johannes Georg Ilgenfritz, Jr. Catharina was born on 08 Jan 1755 in Dover Township, York County, Pennsylvania and christened on 16 Feb 1755 at First Moravian Church in York, Pennsylvania.
By 1775 Catharina Elizabeth Ilgenfritz had first married to Jacob Blickensderfer (1752-1778) who soon died as an American Revolutionary War soldier.
Catharina married secondly on 16 Nov 1779 in Bickerville, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA to Phillip Poorbaugh or Burbach (1749-1812).
They moved their family west to settle on land on the mountain side in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA where many of their descendants still live.
She died on 21 Dec 1842 in Southampton Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA and was buried there at Poorbaugh Family Cemetery. [1]
