Albert Ingersoll was born on 9 April 1880 in Kalkaska, Kalkaska County, Michigan, United States to Daniel S. Ingersoll and Charlotte Elliott. [1] [2]
Albert married Anna Laura Risden, daughter of Joseph H. Risden and Rosanna Parks, on 26 April 1898 in Slittsville, Missaukee, Michigan, United States. They were both 21 years of age. [3] They had the following known children:
On 14 December 1905, Albert and Anna Laura lost 3 daughters, Alice age 5, Nora age 3, and Elizabeth age 1, when they accidentally burned to death.
17 September 1908, Albert and Anna Laura lost their 1 year old daughter, Verna, to cholera infantum.
On 12 September 1918, Albert registered for the United States World War I draft. He was living in Fife Lake, Grand Traverse, Michigan, United States and working as a section foreman for Manistee and Northeastern Railroad. He was described as being of medium height and stout build with blue eyes and brown hair. [4]
In 1920, Albert and Anna Laura were living in Springfield Township, Kalkaska, Michigan, United States with their children: Laura, Edward, Martha, Alfred, and Hattie. Albert continued to work as a section foreman for the railroad. [5]
On 25 February 1928, Albert and Anna Laura lost their 19 year old daughter, Laura, to advanced pulmonary tuberculosis.
In 1930, Albert and Anna Laura were living in Springfield Township, Kalkaska, Michigan, United States with their children: Edward (and his wife, Ruth), Alfred, and Hattie. Albert worked as a laborer for the forest reserve. [6]
In 1940, Albert and Anna Laura were living in Springfield Township, Kalkaska, Michigan, United States. Their 2 year old grandson, Berton (son of Alfred and Mary Jane Ingersoll), lived with them. Their sons, Henry and Alfred, lived next door with their families. Albert worked as a farmer. [7]
Albert passed away on 16 February 1941 at the age of 60 in Springfield Township, Kalkaska County, Michigan, United States. [8] The cause of death was chronic myocarditis with cardial hypertrophy for 2 years. [9] He is buried at Ingersoll Cemetery Kalkaska, Kalkaska County, Michigan, United States. [10]
