Sarah (Ingraham) Swain is part of a Bahamian family.
Biography
Sarah was born 1 August 1805 in Harbour Island, Eleuthera, Bahamas.[1] She was the daughter of Joseph Ingraham and Patience (—?—).
She married Elisha Swain Jr. on 3 March 1824 at St. Matthew's Church in Nassau, New Providence. Elisha and Sarah Swain had four children - Charles Joseph Swain and Melinda Ann Swain (who did not survive their infancies), William Swain, and Melinda Ann Swain born 1831. [2]
Sarah died on 3 October 1877 in St. Matthew's Parish in Nassau.[3]
