In the 1850 Jones County, Georgia, USA federal census, Blake and Zilphia are living in District 47 of Jones County, Georgia. They are the only occupants of their farm.[3]
He passed away on 5 January 1856 and is buried at Jarrell Family Cemetery, Five Points, Jones County, Georgia.[4]

The distributees of his Estate were:
1. John Jarrel, son of the deceased.
2. Michael S. Childs, husband of deceased Polly (Jarrel) Childs, daughter of the deceased.
3. Daniel Leslie, husband of deceased Nancy (Jarrel) Leslie, daughter of the deceased.
