The John Jeggo b. 1812 bapt. 1816 was the son of Joseph Jeggo (Taylor) and Mary Jeggo.
Joseph could not have married Hannah Butcher in 1758 if Joseph was born about 1775, and Hannah Butcher appears to be Joseph's mother.
There were two Joseph Jeggos having children baptised at Gosfield - one was married to Mary and the other was married to Susannah.
The Joseph who was married to Mary was occupied as a tailor/taylor in 1816. The one who was married to Susannah was occupied as a labourer in 1816.
A Joseph (b. abt. 1775) who appeared to be married to Mary in the 1841 census was occupied as a Tailor and living at Little Biggs, Gosfield, Essex with his son John Jeggo (occupied as a Broom Maker), daughters Sarah Anne and Anne. His son John Jeggo (Broom Maker) married widow Mary Jeggo nee Lewis in 1846, so the Joseph born abt. 1775 is NOT the father of the John Jeggo who married 1) Rebecca Saward in 1835 and 2) Rebecca Cutt(s) in 1858 and fathered Ezra Jeggo. Therefore disconnected this Joseph Jeggo as the father of John Jeggo.
The Joseph Jeggo (b. abt. 1771) occupied as an agricultural labourer in 1841 census appears to be living with his probably son Henry Jeggo (aged abt. 20 years). Henry was baptised in 1816, the son of Joseph Jeggo(e) and Susannah Jeggo (nee Keys) who had married at St. Catherine, Gosfield, Essex on the 10th December 1797.
A third Joseph Jeggo (a labourer, probably the son of Joseph & Mary) married Mary Springet in 1822 and started having children baptised at Gosfield from 1824.
