Biography
Patrick Johnston was born on 23 April 1856 in Missouri. He was the son of John C. Johnston. The 1870 census[1] shows Patrick living with his family in Osage, Carroll, Arkansas where his father is doing general labor.

On 14 Jan 1878 Patrick married Martha Ann Marshall in Comanche. Between 1878 and 1898 Martha gave birth[2] to their eight children. The 1900 census[3] shows Patrick raising his family in Comanche, Texas where he is farming.

Martha died in 1919. Patrick lived with one or another of his children over the years. Patrick Henry Johnston passed away[4] on 27 July 1941 in the town of Comanche. He is buried[5] at Zion Hill Cemetery, Comanche, Comanche County, Texas next to Martha.
