Biography

Research notes

Removed unsourced death information 1695 in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Search of Massachusetts records found nothing on an Elijah Jones until the 1740's (Elijah Jones d 25 Jul 1741 Stockbridge). An Elijah Jones is sometimes shown as the father of Mary (________) Howe (abt.1621-abt.1698), the wife of John Howe in online trees and in the LDS Pedigree Resource File. There is no evidence to support this. Its possible that the death place "Middlesex County" may have been a data entry error confusing it with Middle, Shropshire. The birth and death dates 1595-1695 look like a generic estimate. Cole-12288 17:19, 28 May 2021 (UTC).

I've removed the PGM template and Massachusetts information from this profile. I could not find an Elijah Jones in Massachusetts until about 1741. He does show up in online trees as the father of Mary (Unknown) Howe (abt.1621-abt.1698). But as her LNAB is unknown, there isn't any evidence to support this.

Could a leader take a look, and remove PGM management if appropriate? Thanks!
