In the name of God amen I John Robert Jones of the county of Brunswick being of sound & disposing mind and memory to make and ordain this my last Will & testament which is as followeth
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my son John Jones the land whereon I now live to him his heirs & assigns forever
Item I desire that all the rest of my estate unveiled may be equally divided between Anne my wife and all my children to them and their heirs and assigns forever when the youngest shall arrive at the age of eighteen
Lastly I constitute and appoint my sons Baalam Jones and Edward Jones Executors to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other will by me heretofore made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty-fourth day of June anno domini one thousand seven hundred & seventy five

Christopher Jones, born 1770 in Brunswick County, Virginia. There was a marriage bond recorded for 1 Sep 1800, marriage to Martha Keatt, her father was James Keatt.
There was a John Jones, son of Peter Jones, that was a founder of Petersburg and a member of the county court of Brunswick. In 1772 he was a member of the house of burgesses. In 1788 he represented Brunswick in the state convention. He married Elizabeth Binns, daughter of Charles Binns, in July of 1758. (Tyler, Lyon Gardiner, LL. D.. There was a later John Robert Jones, the 7th child of Stephen and Anna (Claiborne) Jones, married to Christiana Blackwell, and died in 1842. Five of those familial lines are said to have come from Cardiganshire, Wales (William, Reps, Richard, Robert, and Thomas). Many grants were recorded in Brunswick with the Jones surname from 1727 to 1770. (Tyler, Lyon Gardiner, LL. D.. Brunswick County marriage records were documented as early as 1730. I couldn't find those records online, though several books are available at a Family History Library. (Silva-1055 20:02, 6 December 2021 (UTC))
