Andrew Katzenberger was born about April 1842 in Bavaria, Germany. ^[1] His parents were Andrew Katzenberger and Margaret Hartman. ^[2]

He married Maria Yaken on 8 June 1880 in Mokena, Will County, Illinois. ^[3]

He appeared in the 1880 US Census in Frankfort, Will County, Illinois. ^[4] He was living with his wife Maria, and was a laborer. ^[4] He also appeared in the 1880 US Census in Green Garden, Will County, Illinois. ^[5] He was a farm laborer in the household of William Stellwagen. ^[5]

Mary died in 1886. ^[6]

He married Anna Maria Yunker on 17 April 1888 in Joliet, Will County, Illinois. ^[2] They had one adopted daughter:

1. Mrs. A. Pelaske ^[7]

He appeared in the 1900 US Census in Mokena, Frankfort Township, Will County, Illinois. ^[1] He was living with his wife Anna Maria. ^[1] He was a day laborer for the railroad. ^[1]

He died on 13 October 1904. ^[7]

Research Notes

It's possible that Andrew Katzenberg listed as a farm laborer in Green Garden in 1880 is the same person as Andrew Katzenberger living with his wife in Frankfort in 1880. They both were the same age and were born in Bavaria. If it ends up being two different people, this profile is meant to represent the man that was living in Green Garden.
