Biography

Christopher Kearney was born in Shankill, County Dublin, Ireland in 1828. His Roman Catholic baptism appears on 5th December 1828, in Kingstown parish, County Dublin. Catholic baptisms in Ireland were rarely more than two or three days after birth, giving a likely birth date of December 1828. He was the sixth of seven children born to Peter Kearney and Elizabeth (Murphy) Kearney of Shankill.

No date of death appears for his mother Elizabeth (Murphy) Kearney. She probably passed away before the introduction of civil death registrations in 1864. His father Peter Kearney passed away a widower, age 82, in Shankill, County Dublin, Ireland in 1870, when Christopher was age 41.

He passed away age 56, cause unknown, in Shankill, County Dublin, Ireland in 1885. No burial has been found. He was unmarried. He had no known children. He has no known living descendants.
