The son of Henry Keeton and his first wife, Maud (Hollis) Keeton, Eldridge Keeton was born in Wayne County, Tennessee in 1916.[citation needed] His mother passed away in 1919 and his father remarried. In 1930, Eldridge lived with his family in Wayne County's District 7, where his father farmed.[1] Eldridge died of measles and meningitis when he was 19 years old, and still in high school.[2] He is buried with his mother and siblings, at Bethlehem Cemetery in rural Wayne County, Tennessee.[3]
